Planeta 'Cometa' Fiano Menfi 2017, Sicily, Italy
PRESS: Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - 93 points. "The 2017 Sicilia Menfi Cometa is exactly my kind of white wine. It's not quite full-bodied, yet its texture and fiber are loosely knit and significant. The bouquet offers aromas that are typical to Fiano, such as honey, pear and Golden Delicious apple. As you allow the wine to warm in the glass, it becomes more generous and articulate with beautiful complexity that is fluid and ever changing with each swirl of the glass."

A single-variety Fiano from lime-chalk soils which contribute to the enhancement of the aromatic markers of Mediterranean macchia owned by this vine. Thus, between broom flowers and thyme, the delicate aromas of chamomile, hay and mandarin can also be savored. A mineral palate with vibrantly savory traces which quiver and quench. Then the rhythm changes to become slower and more harmonious, an invitation to sip this outstanding white wine with the correct quietude enjoying its every change of tone. The finish presents a silky tactile sensation with a refined aftertaste of ripe apricot, of almond flowers and basil flowers.
